The Heartbeat of Friday Nights Lights.

Mission Statement

Pride. Performance. Community.

The Midlothian Trojan Band is more than music—it’s a community built on passion, pride, and performance. We are dedicated to inspiring a lifelong love of music, encouraging every member to reach their highest potential, and celebrating the joy that comes from performing with excellence. We believe in marching together—on the field and in life—creating bonds between students, families, and friends that last long after the final note fades. With every beat, step, and song, we aim to uplift our school, our community, and each other.

  • Tickets will be on GO FAN usually a few days before the concert or when tickets go on sale at school!

     Concert Attire Time!

It’s that time again — for returning students it’s time to dig out those tuxes and dresses! Our first concert performance in formal attire is December 18th, which sounds far away... but it’ll be here before you can say “tuning note.”

Don’t forget to find and try on all the parts of your tux or dress now to make sure everything fits and nothing’s missing. Measuring instructions and ordering links are in the syllabus on your student’s Band Canvas page (you can also find HERE!), but here’s the rundown:

     Tuxedo Requirements

    • Single-notch lapel, one- or two-button black tuxedo (coat + pants)

    • White tuxedo shirt (French cuffs preferred, but not required)

    • Black bow tie and black cummerbund

    • Long black socks and black dress shoes (Dinkles can work in a pinch!)

    • Pants may be pleated or non-pleated.

You can purchase your tux anywhere, but here’s a trusted vendor with great prices:

How to Measure for a Tux — check out the video!

Shipping can take about four weeks this time of year — don’t wait!

     Concert Dress Requirements

We wear the black Oratorio Dress from Southeastern Apparel.
    Order HERE!

This dress will need hemming, so plan for alterations early. It should fall just above the shoes when standing.

Please avoid bulky layers under the dress (no jeans, leggings, or hoodies). Shoes must be black — no sandals, athletic shoes, flip-flops, or extreme heels.

If purchasing attire presents a hardship, please reach out to Mr. Rawls — the Band Boosters have funds available to assist.

  • To help make the Winter Concert extra special, we’re hosting a reception afterwards — and we’d love your support!

Whether you can bring treats, drinks, supplies, or a few minutes of your time to help sell tickets, set up or help us clean up after, it all makes a huge difference.
